Meghan Markle showed her sense of humour during a mix-up at the Endeavour Fund awards ceremony.
She was officially handing out awards at the Endeavour Fund ceremony, an engagement that celebrates the accomplishments of wounded and sick servicemen and women.
Prince Harry joined Meghan at the awards, and watched with amusement as the notes she and her co-presenter were using became mixed up, causing an awkward silence.
Her co-presenter admitted: “Excuse me – we’ve got different notes. I have the first one – do you have the second one?”
With a wry laugh, Meghan replied: “I’ve got mine, hang on!”
She then giggled, causing the audience to laugh along with her.
The moment showed just how at ease Meghan has become so early in her “career” as a working royal.
As she took to the stage to present the second award of the night, she told the audience: “I am truly privileged to be here.”
For the event, the fourth official engagement she has attended with her fiance Prince Harry, Meghan opted for a bold Alexander McQueen tuxedo.
The Endeavour Fund was set up by the Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess Of Cambridge and Prince Harry, both of whom have served in the British Armed Forces.
